Christmas

Christmas 2013 was a nice time spent at home with the grandparents, exchanging gifts and eating delicious ham and desserts. There was more than enough food, and our little girl got LOTS of presents, loving each one. She still didn't quite understand unwrapping things until near the end, though.

17 Months

Just before her 17 month mark, was Thanksgiving. This year was a bit different, as we said goodbye to Great Grandpa with our extended family. On Dec. 5th, we had a big snow and got to get outside and play for a bit...at least, until our little girl decided falling in the big drifts was no fun at all.

16 Months!

Posting rather late, but some new photos of our growing girl!
She may still be small, but she is definitely mighty! She can lift 7 pounds. She's learning almost a new word a day, and will happily tell you that 3 comes after 1 & 2.

The first photos are from Fern Clyffe state park, and the others are from our day with the grandparents at the St. Louis Zoo. Butterflies are one of K's favorite animals, and it was fun showing her live ones flying around (she now loves to say "Butterbyes bye!" which means "butterflies fly").

October

With the beautiful weather we had this October, we tried to get out as much as possible. Walks around the park, playground time any day it didn't rain, and K's first trip to the pumpkin patch were definite highlights of the month.
And guiding our little ladybug for trick-or-treating was much fun, also.

15 Months!

K grew over an inch this last month, and suddenly many of her pants are a touch short! She's also talking up a storm these days, from "hi" and "all done" to "uh oh," "read this," and "didn't mean to." A daily trip to the park is now a requirement, and regular wiggle sessions help keep the peace.
