14 Months! (and airplanes)

Our little girl turned 14 months old on the 5th! It's hard for me to believe she's been with us that long already! She's learning a few new words, though will rarely repeat them for us. She loves drinking from her straw cups (still not a big sippy cup fan), eating whatever Mommy is (with "dip"...whatever condiment may be nearby), playing with cars ("vroom"), dancing, and reading books.

On Saturday we went to an aviation expo nearby, where a B-25 and a P-51D were on display, as well as many experimental aircraft. I think K was a bit overwhelmed, as her poor finger couldn't stop pointing to everything she saw. Before we left we had to get a photo of Daddy and K in front of the P-51D "Red Nose."

Family Hike

August 8th we had some rare free time and decided to take a day trip to an area about an hour's drive away. Having often heard of the Garden of the Gods, I'd always been curious what the area was like. I was pleasantly surprised! There was a parking lot not too far into the park that had a mile loop path off of it. There were some hills and stairs, but it's an easy hike! The view from the cliffs is amazing!

A Year Old!

We had a small party of friends and family at a local park for K's 1st Birthday. Lots of patriotic cupcakes made up her "cake," and there was a lot of running around the playground after everyone ate and K opened her gifts.
